This is me. I am married to an amazing man and a mother to four beautiful children. I am a stay at home mom trying to juggle it all. I began my photography journey like many other mothers, taking pictures of my kids. It has since grown to become one of my favorite hobbies and I love it! I picked up my first DSLR camera after my oldest daughter Natalie was born in 2009. My husband was the one that bought it for me and I actually made him take it back for a refund! A few months later he talked me into buying it for real and taking a stab at capturing our lives.
I enjoy everything creative and in my free time you can probably find me behind the computer doing graphic design, behind the camera, or coming up with some random DIY project. I graduated from Brigham Young University Provo in Advertising and Marketing (Go Cougs!) in 2007 and became my husbands sugar mama for a couple years while he finished up his degree in Facilities Management. We then had the opportunity to move back to the farm and start making and selling sparkling apple cider (www.sheffieldcider.com). Check it out. It's amazing.
Between our three crazy girls, our energetic son, our business, and church activities we stay super busy. Photography has been something that I have enjoyed but to me, being a mom comes first and foremost. My daughters bring a lot of stress and frustration but also a lot of joy in my life. On a typical day I am watching, "My little pony" or "Ninja Turtles", wiping up spilled milk, and during nap times trying to improve my graphic design and photography skills (okay, I may just be surfing Pinterest or looking on Instagram)
And in case you were wondering, this is what my life is typically like. It is normal to see my crazy-haired, sweet, rambunctious children running around crazy in my life (and occasionally my photoshoots). If that's okay with you, give me a call. I'd love to help capture a little of your life.
